Scope of work is MBES survey to take place in UK Sector Southern North Sea. Experience as a Multibeam Surveyor utilising Kongsberg EM1002/EM1000 (calibration/operation) with some exposure to Starfix.Seis although this is less important. Contract mobilises approx. 3rd February 2010 and duration is expected to be 2-4 weeks approx. Maris Subsea requires a Field Development Geophysicist with seismic interpretation experience holding some operator experience for a Client contract, office-based, Aberdeen. Scope of work: Field Development Geophysicist working in the Mature Field Development Team. The team looks after development study work across all of our Client’s North Sea operated producing assets. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team the Geophysicist will be responsible for delivering and coordinating all aspects of the geophysical work programme, including seismic interpretation, quantitative interpretation using AVO and Inversion products, depth conversion, and structural and stratigraphic input to reservoir modelling efforts. Additional responsibilities will include presentation and documentation of technical work internally and to field partners & DECC etc. Current ongoing study work includes infill target evaluation and static and dynamic modelling to target further infill production. Expertise in Tertiary Turbidite Fields would be ideal. Understanding of rock physics and AVO, depth conversion, static modelling and cross discipline awareness would be advantageous but is not essential. Geoscience graduate at minimum BSc level or qualified via experience to a similar extent. Seismic interpretation experience, preferably in field development with some operator experience. Expertise in Tertiary turbidite fields would be good along with expertise in rock physics and AVO, depth conversion, static modelling and cross discipline awareness. Contract is initially for 6 months although this may be extended. As this is a contract position applicants should be aware that it can be terminated at short notice.
